
Karen Ota‑O’Brien is the Co‑Founder and President of the Florida Women’s Hockey League and Executive Director of the Lucky Pucks. A native of 100 Mile House, B.C. now living in Fort Lauderdale, she also works furnishing commercial offices as a space planner and designer. She is married to Tim O'Brien and is the proud stepmom of two sons, Corey & Kyle.
Karen’s leadership has earned national recognition, including being named the 2023 USA Hockey Adult Player of the Year and 2023 NHL Willie O’Ree Community Service Award Finalist. She co-founded the Statewide Florida Girls Hockey League, in 2025, serves as the Girls & Women’s Representative for SAHOF (USA Hockey's Florida Affiliate) and is also a member of the NHL/NHLPA Women’s Hockey Advisory Committee, advancing NHL Club & grassroots initiatives for girls’ and women’s hockey.

Originally from Central Florida, Amanda served in the U.S. Army before returning home to Orlando. She discovered hockey later in life and now plays both goalie and defense for the Maidens of Mayhem. She also serves as head coach for the 16U Lady Bears and is passionate about creating opportunities for girls and women in hockey. Off the ice, Amanda works as a leadership and strategic vision consultant. In her free time, she raises monarch butterflies and, together with her husband, cheers on their two kids—both of whom play travel hockey for the CFHC Solar Bears.

Ronne has played for the Lady Everblades for the past 15 years. She lives in Estero, Florida, with her life partner and Lady Everblades DB, De, her two sons—Jon and Tom—and her two dogs, Hazel and Stella. Ronne grew up in Fredonia, New York, attended the University of Buffalo, and made her way down to Florida in 2006. She is currently the CFO of SalusCare, Lee County’s largest provider of mental health and substance abuse services.

Kyla Jones currently plays for the Maidens of Mayhem C-division team. She has been a part of the FWHL for 4 years and has played hockey for 11 years. Kyla was previously the league's Tournament Director and has now transitioned into the Secretary role. Originally from Florida, she recently moved to Michigan but remains deeply committed to the game of hockey and the FWHL. Kyla has been coaching both soccer and hockey since she was 14 years old. When she is not playing or coaching, she enjoys reading and gaming.

Denise Masnjak is a native Floridian and resident of Fort Myers, Florida. She is a founding member of the Lady Everblades and has been a member of the FWHL since its inception. Denise has previously served as both Tournament Director and Vice President of the FWHL, and after a four-year absence from the board, she returned as a Member at Large. This season, she will takeover the Tournament Director position once again. Denise is married to Karl, a VP at Hertz Arena, is a mom of three, “Didi” of six, and part of a true hockey family. If they have two feet, they have skates on!

Jenn Weaver currently plays for the MsConduct and is originally from Canada. Jenn was a Division I rower at Stetson University. Off the ice, her other loves are family (2 amazing kiddos) and her work – she has been in veterinarian medicine for over 2 decades and currently runs a small animal veterinary hospital.

Kerry is the captain of the Lucky Pucks novice team and has been playing hockey for a couple of years. She comes from a hockey family—her husband plays, her 11-year-old son has been on the ice since he was 5 and recently made a Triple-A team, and her daughter is a figure skater. Kerry’s favorite things to do include playing and watching hockey (Go Panthers!), spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with their three big dogs and two cats. She also loves going to the movies.

Originally from New Brunswick Canada, Kiana currently plays for new FWHL team, the Skallyhags C-division. She has been playing hockey since grade 7 and loves the friendships she makes playing hockey. Off the ice, Kiana works in marketing for a golf app. She enjoys golfing, spontaneous travel, and binge watching Love Island with her 2 labs! She is also a dog foster mom for the Florida All Retriever Rescue (FARR). Fun fact...she speaks FRENCH!

Racheal Hansen currently plays for the Central Florida Honey Badgers Rec. division team. She made the move from Wisconsin to Florida in 2023 and this will be her 3rd season playing in the FWHL. She has been playing hockey for a total of 18 years. When not playing hockey, she enjoys her day job as a Graphic Designer, playing video games with her niece and nephews, and catering to her very demanding Siberian Husky Maverick.
